Thank you for this! It's infuriating seeing these lies. Then trying to explain the truth feels like telling people the Earth is flat. I just want everyone to be safe, dammit!

After living in the UK for 22 years, I recently moved back to the US. Never imagined I would leave - I loved my old life. But having contracted covid in the hospital during the first wave (plus 4/5 more times) I felt like the UK was literally going to kill me. I pray a new competent govt can come to the rescue. 🙏

Sorry too say. The level of healthcare we have in western countries is only possible because the global south makes all our stuff. This includes child labour for healthcare. When oil goes away. How much healthcare is there in western countries without the global supply chain? https://amp.theguardian.com/global-development/2018/jan/29/nhs-admits-doctors-may-be-using-tools-made-by-children-in-pakistan

It's not necessarily the wrong play, but it does call for an explanation on the reasoning. Even using the original vaccine leads to affinity maturation (so their antibodies will become broader anyway - boosting begets breadth), and for anyone who's already highly immune, imprinting can become an issue. In my view the priority for the newest vaccines should be the immunologically naive, and it doesn't much matter which one you give to everyone else.

Vaccination strategies are "coordination games"

When we first heard news of covid I knew from reading about previous pandemics that we were going to be dealing with this for 3-5 years. However, mainly due to government unwillingness to take a short term hit to the economy, it now looks like we are going to be suffering repeated waves of variants for closer to 8-10 years at least

Great article. The incompetence kills people. And to think all of this was preventable

Let them eat long COVID. Let's see how stupidity works for them.

I would like people too live long and prosperous lives. But there are problems. «The better we become at treating cancer and other diseases, the longer we live and the more cancer cases there will be in the population. The great cancer epidemic is therefore not a problem modern medicine is about to solve – it is a problem we are about to create». This is a paradox.. The more vaccines the more cancer and other age dependent disease. https://tidsskriftet.no/en/2015/03/who-has-misled-trond-mohn

huh .. Hold My Beer !

Welcome to Only In Canada y’say.. eh ! Where a Provincial Premier declared Best Summer Ever !

(this in the midst of Pandemic or Epidemic or Just The Flu - Take yer Pick eh !)

Perhaps the slickest ‘Public Service’ trick we’ve seen yet is dirt simple

Stop and/or Suppress Infection/Transmission Data & Muddle Mortality Causation Terminology

FYI - Appointing CMO’s - Provincial Chief Medical Officers OK with these & too many other Distortions of Public Service has become The Default Position of Corrupt ‘Public Servant Leaders’

This is why the NHS blows compared to less centralized models. Keep you poor through taxes so they can make all the decisions 😂
