Grotesque is the right word for the utter callousness that has driven society’s response to COVID, but still seems not enough. Devastating.

I have seen reports of Alexander’s death, but this is the first that I am hearing that it was due to COVID. The media is complicit in normalizing death and disability from preventable disease.

Thank you, Nate, for bringing our attention to Paul Alexander's death from Covid-19. It is devastating and shameful - and should be to us all. But it is not, and therein lies the problem. I'm committed to memorizing his name, his date of death today, and talking to everyone in my circle about him until they tell me to shut up, and then I will talk about Paul some more.

The ghouls that guide us have normalized being ill. Have a fever? Take it easy for a day!

It seems that Mr Alexander's room should have been outfitted with UVC lamps and a Corsi-Rosethal box at the least. (I don't know the facts.)

Study after study show the serious dangers posed by covid entering one's body. Loss of IQ, kidneys aging faster than the rest of you, shortness of breath, ..., all in all no big deal, right?

No, it's not a nothing burgher! Many will lose years of life and the ability to live those diminished years to their fullest.

I worked in state public Health 2019-2021. I quit cause leadership and the governor didn’t care who died or how many people including children, people with transplants, people with kidney disease, etc., died. Let alone become disabled.

Nothing has changed.

Bernie Sanders made me laugh when he talked about children in Gaza. Americans don’t care about children in the usa, they certainly don’t care about children in Gaza. American children go hungry. American children die from rsv, covid, measles…we do nothing. Not even in the news…

My spouse gave me covid in Dec 2022.

I have long covid. I almost died last summer from

MIS-A. Luckily we went to the hospital and they recognized that they needed to act. I can’t work- I can’t remember anything. I used to be smart..🤦🏾‍♀️

Long covid is really terrible- the “bone and nerve” pain are almost as bad as childbirth without an epidural. Also- I keep getting shingles- even though I am vaccinated.

Cause measles is running rampant- those of vaccinated back in the 1960’s should get vaccinated again..but no one is telling people.

We are a nation of narcissists who don’t care who lives and who dies.

Okay. I am done with my rant.

Horrifying! No excuse when HCW refuse to mask and health care facilities refuse to have adequate ventilation. Overt violation of civil rights, leaving it up to patients or their loved ones to assert under the ADA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 the right to reasonable accommodations for disabled people, including COVID mitigations.
