War is American, apple pie, not so much.

We get steeped in war from birth here in the States.

How David Sirota, a self-proclaimed progressive who runs "The Lever" can compare Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's Munich screed to social welfare aspirations voiced by FDR is mind boggling.

It appears that words, deeds, and facts matter not. Did they ever?

Larry Johnson, a former CIA analyst was interviewed yesterday on George Galloway's show. He compared the US to a serial killer. I think his analogy is completely accurate. Thank you for your excellent reporting and analysis.

Thank you Anne. I find that to be BRILLIANT as much as I hate to admit it. "serial killer". Except that those murder their victims one by one for the most part, when the US commits Mass killings, also for the most part, always of course under false pretenses.

I am going to look that interview up. Thank you so much again❤️‍🔥💐❗

Of course. What does anyone propose to do about it?

Feral Finster's avatar

Of course it's all lies. It doesn't matter, just as it doesn’t matter whether the victim really did look at the woman of the barroom bully looking for a fight.

And yes, the bully intentionally chooses easy victims. Doesn't matter. It works.

How long before the draft is reinstated🤔

the suck of sorrow's avatar

My bet is the draft comes soon.

My only question is the country of origin for those boots soon to get placed on the ground?

the suck of sorrow's avatar

Yes, the US for the feet in the boots, perhaps Colombians as well.

I wonder which country manufactures those boots. Will recycling shoe uppers to provide boots for the troops become a thing?

The truth about this war on Iran has never been so clearly presented. Attacking Iran is so patently irrational that I can only suppose the overwhelming support for it is rooted in long-standing and on-going prejudice nurtured by mainstream media as a "Clash of Civilizations". That's despite the fact that recent events have revealed that Western Civilization has been significantly oversold as a concept.

Cardinal Health, large US company, player in the radioisotopes market. probably not happy with Iranian competition.

I know some Iranians. They are not happy with the current regime, but want change through the ballot box. Neighbours of Iran, e.g. Armenia, like Iranians, & have +/- shared somewhat conservative values. Very against any attacks.

I agree with the main thrust of the article. The tRump bully now has a taste for attacking other countries (with no consequences). The Europeans could stop UStRump in its tracks through the simple expedient of stopping any & all US military flights. They don't because they still think they need UStRump on-side wrt Ukraine. However, this is no longer the case. Without Europe, UStRump's ability to be a bully would be greatly limited. Indeed, if the Europeans thought about it a bit, they could use the reality of US bases in Europe as a lever.

From a cybernetic point of view, an attack on Iran will produce various reactions, both locally (Saudi Arabia - oh look, all its oil production is... opposite Iran), Straits of Aden? and elsewhere, Western Pacific/Taiwan & China. I doubt if tRump has considered any of this, doubtless he is hoping to create a war that will allow the cancellation of mid-term elections. Evil times with large numbers of very evil politicians.
